What if Panzer IV/70 letztlösung, so it begins

The project is shaping up pretty fast, first I have removed the 4 return rollers on each side of the hull and replaced them with Paper Panzer Productions welded ones, as seen on late war examples. The rollers themself come from Dragon's Panzer IV/70 Vomag kit. First thing to do was to build the shape of the engine compartment box, the main upper plate was supposed to be identical as on the real Pz IVs, I only wanted to rearrange the sides and rear, moving the air intakes from sides to the rear of the vehicle (layout similar to the one seen on Shermans). I'm gonna add the flammencernichter exhaust arrangement and will be able to see if a fumes deflector will be needed there. Next thing to do was to build up the basi shape of the glacis and bow plates. Since my idea was to keep the front armor relatively thin (60mm in scale), I decided to make the glacis plate very steep, this would allow the tank to stand against frontal hits pretty good (I suppose...). As you can see I already fitted some test tracks but the final version will be the later Pz IV pattern track or even the Ostketten type to provide better traction for extra weight of the vehicle. Will see about that when the build comes to it's end.
