Berthold Tacke, the editor of the german Modellfan magazine invited me to participate in their latest Modelbauschule issue, part 4 of the series actually. The article you'll find inside covers inter alia the subject dedicated to creating scale buildings using plaster castings. The diorama depicted in this issue is the KOed StuG scene from Italy. Gute lesung.

Progress on the second razvedchik figure to accompany the JS 2. The figure is bassicaly done, I will spray a layer of flat varnish and then work a bit to retouche the colors (flat varnish causes the colors to fade rapidly). Then I will work with some weathering on the figure. All is left now is to sculpt two more remaining figures, the third recon trooper and his German captive. More progress on this subject to follow.

Below are photographs showing progress I did so far on the figures for the JS 2 scene. In total there will be 6 figures including a German POW captured by the recon squad. So far the 3 figures on the Stalin tank are completed and being painted and so is the DP 28 gunner. I'm currently sculpting the uniform of the 3rd Razvedchik trooper. The recon troopers will have the usual soviet amoeba pattern painted on their masking uniforms although there were already different types of camouflage clothes available in the Red Army by 1945. The rest will follow shortly.
